EWAG LASER LINE ULTRA

LASER LINE ULTRA is the high-end EWAG laser machine in the official portfolio for laser machining of indexable inserts and rotationally symmetrical tools. The official brochure describes ultra-short-pulse laser technology with 10 ps pulses, all-in-one machining of blades, cavities and chip grooves, labelling in one clamping operation and machining of commercially available cutting materials including PCD, CVD-D and MCD/ND. CNC Metal groups it in laser processing because the machine is not a grinding center: it is a laser production system for ultrahard cutting tools, micro-tools and insert geometry where cold ablation and edge quality matter.
